I’m a passionate and versatile experience design polyexpert with over 12 years of experience in consumer product, automotive, and mobile & desktop application design. I am committed to simplifying and enhancing user interactions and experiences while building and contributing to thriving workplaces as a craftsman, strategist and mentor.
I was afforded an upbringing in such places as Quito, Ecuador and Nairobi, Kenya thanks to my parents’ jobs in the Foreign Service. Connecting to new people every few years as a child wasn’t easy, but I am grateful for the perspective and love for travel the experience gifted me.
After college in Seattle and a period of time with an electric car startup in Oregon, I’ve been bouncing around the San Francisco Bay Area raising a family. Apart from being the best dad I can be (mainly by emulating the inimitable parents of cartoon dog Bluey) my free time is most happily spent with good friends and good drinks, catching up on the X-Files with my partner, and listening to comedy podcasts.

Marcos is remarkably talented and has an excellent eye for industrial design. We worked together closely on the Arcimoto Pulse EV, and he did a great job making the best of the vehicle aesthetics, both interior and exterior, given the constantly evolving engineering limitations that were handed to him. Additionally, he was able generate conceptual sketches, digital mockups, physical sculptures, as well as detailed CAD designs. He was equally comfortable in each of these worlds and moved between them with a relative ease that was quite impressive.

Marcos and I worked closely together to develop the structure and overall aesthetic of the Arcimoto Gen-IV prototype. Marcos did an excellent job of taking input from the various resources in the organization, and applying it to CAD design which worked in context to the other mechanical attributes of the vehicle. His work developing the ergonomic functionality of the cockpit was groundbreaking and at times tedious. Ultimately it paved the way for quick design build strategies critical in the development of a prototype production vehicle. Marcos was tasked with a huge amount of redesign, along with input from all levels of the organization. Yet our group produced an fully functional prototype in 4 months. This high level of success could not have been accomplished with out the efforts put forward by Marcos. I would recommend him highly to any organization looking for a hard working, talented industrial/product designer.
